Dedicated to service. Committed to results.
Attorney Michael Dodig has devoted his entire career to public service. Before becoming an attorney, Michael served as a paratrooper for the 82nd Airborne Division in the U.S. Army for four years. After fighting overseas in Grenada, he continued serving as a paratrooper and as an instructor at the Advanced Airborne School at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has taken the work ethic and dedication that the military instilled in him and has applied them to his practice of law.
As an attorney, Michael has proudly served the people and businesses of Missouri and Kansas for more than 18 years. He started his career in 1993 working for Gage & Tucker, a prominent Midwest law firm that later merged to become Lathrop & Gage. However, Michael was uncomfortable with the big-firm mentality and moved his practice to his hometown of Lee’s Summit in 2000. He became the managing member for Dodig, Arbuckle, DeVouton & Bond, LLC and remained in that position until he opened The Dodig Law Firm, LLC in 2007. While maintaining his private practice, Michael served as the general counsel for the University of Central Missouri.
Michael’s abilities in the courtroom and devotion to client satisfaction have earned him a reputation for excellence among clients and peers. He currently holds the highest possible AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review RatingSM by Martindale-Hubbell®, the premier online attorney rating site. No matter what legal problems you are confronted with, you can rest assured that Michael has the dedication, experience and work ethic to deliver you the results you need.
Michael is very active in the Lee’s Summit community. He is a former city councilman and a past president of the Lee’s Summit R-7 School Board. He has served on the boards of directors of the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce and the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council, as well as many civic committees and task forces. He is involved in Rotary and has been an adult leader in youth baseball, softball, basketball and Cub Scouts. The Dodig Law Firm is a “Partner in Education” with Richardson Elementary.
